Atmos clocks are made by the renowned Swiss company Jaeger LeCoultre. They do not require winding, are entirely handmade and match the quality of swiss watches. A temperature change of only 2 degrees F will provide sufficient energy for 48 hours and every piece of the Atmos is machined to absolute precision. The minute hand is so perfectly balanced, that if a fly were to land on it, it would stop the whole clock.

At the back of an atmos clock is a bellow, filled with ethyl chloride gas. It expands and contracts according to the changes of temperature or of the atmospheric pressure. The in-and-out movement of the bellows keeps the mechanism wound up.

Because of the complexity of the Atmos clock, an Atmos needs a complete mechanical overhaul whenever serviced however an Atmos keeping good time does not need any periodic maintenance. Once an Atmos clock begins to lose time it generally means that it needs to be precisely cleaned and overhauled.

We charge £275 for a complete service of the Atmos clock, usually serviced and returned back to you within a 10-14 day time frame.
We only use factory tools from Jaeger Le Coultre to repair and service our clocks and genuine factory parts only.
